"Ice Shacks"
Posted by Mr.Eye on Jan-07-03, 07:47 PM (MST)
Does anyone know where I can obtain plans for a 4 man shack? Does anyone have a setup they prefer over others? I am looking to build a fairly deluxe shack and a travel type any help would be appreciated.

Have you seen the shack built by Hold On Industries just outside of Saskatoon? They make the plastic ones out of a rotational mould. I picked one up just before Christmas and in my opinion it's the best one by far. I have the smaller six foot one and it's easy to load and well built. They are a bit pricey but it could be the last shack you ever buy. They sell them at Flamans in Saskatoon and Regina? I think.

Here's the web site

the best and by far the cheapest is to use an older camper. size and condition are up to you.the axle is taken off and frame is extended to rear. axle is then cut in half and mounted on extended frame wint a hydraulic cylinder mounted on it to raise and lower rear of camper. use jack such as on boat trailer on front to raise and lower. this takes about 2 min. to get ready to move.can build this set up in a couple hrs.

Mr. Eye, If You are looking for a deluxe fold down portable fishing shack to buy, I have one for sale, 42"x 84"x 20" folded up, 84"x84"x6ft
tall set up.It has a curved front for easy towing, rink board on the entire bottom and a good hitch for towing. There's lots of room for four people to fish, it pulls easy and sets up fast. I need $500.00 for it. See ya, ...Kg
