Planning on heading up to the Loon Lake area ice fishing end of March. Does any one know where a person could rent a cabin around Ministikwan - Loon Lake area?Thanks

Don't know about the cabin but if you want to catch fish try little goose or goose lake in the Makwa Prov park, much better fishing than Ministikwan, maybe try Round lake for Splake in the ministikwan lake rec area. Try Fowler LAkefor Perch usually a lot of perch. There isa hotel in loon if nowhere elseto stay

Try peck lake marina, they have several cabins which are nice and if you have a big enough crew you could stay in the big one which is brand new and is able to handle about ten people. Last I heard the rates are reasonable like 90.00 per night for the big cabin.Chris

good place to stay at pine cove resort on makwa. also a fairly new hotel at jumbo lake. have stayed there a few times and it is o k. good area to stay as you have good access to quite a few lakes. one that hasn't been mentioned is lac de isles north of loon lake about an hour away. there is some good accomadations there also. need any other info just ask.

Peck Lake is just south of ministickwan and pretty much just across from little fishing lake.It is called peck lake marina ( where the cabins are), but I don't have the phone number right now but I will try to find one tonight and post it tonight for you to check out. Peck lake is on highway 21 if your looking for it on a map.Chris
